Position Overview
Develop plumbing-system layouts and construction documents for building projects. Collaborate with engineers and other design disciplines to produce coordinated, serviceable systems for new construction and renovations. Assignments and design responsibility will be aligned with your experience.
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), Texas.
Office locations: Dallas, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare domestic hot- and cold-water, sanitary waste and vent, and storm-drainage layouts.
- Develop piping plans, riser diagrams, details, fixture schedules, and equipment schedules.
- Perform supporting flow, pressure, and pipe-sizing calculations with project engineering guidance.
- Support water-heating equipment selection and fuel-gas piping design where included in the project scope.
- Coordinate routing, penetrations, clearances, and equipment needs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Incorporate quality-review comments and support site documentation, submittal reviews, and construction-phase revisions.
Required Experience
- 2–10 years of relevant plumbing design or plumbing building-system design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The following are helpful, but are not additional application requirements:
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for plumbing construction documents.
- Familiarity with plumbing codes, fixture-unit calculations, and building-system coordination.
- Technical training, an associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical learning.
- Experience developing coordinated piping models, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving, organization, and communication.
