Electrical Engineer – MEP

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join a consulting engineering team supporting a wide variety of project types. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity associated with a Plano, TX-based team.

The ideal candidate will have strong building-systems design experience, with particular emphasis on Revit. AutoCAD experience is also important. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants exposure to a broad and well-rounded project portfolio rather than being limited to a single market sector.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for a variety of commercial and building projects.
  • Prepare construction drawings, plans, and design documentation.
  • Develop electrical designs using Revit, with AutoCAD used as needed.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and other disciplines.
  • Perform design calculations and support preparation of project specifications.
  • Assist with project coordination, technical problem-solving, and client needs.
  • Apply applicable electrical codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support projects across a diverse range of facility and building types.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant electrical engineering/design experience.
  • Strong Revit experience is highly preferred and will be given significant consideration.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Experience working on building systems and MEP-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and design practices.
  • PE licensure preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong desire to continue developing technically and professionally.

Licensure / PE Path

Candidates pursuing professional licensure are encouraged to apply. A typical path includes completing the FE/EIT exam early in an engineer's career and obtaining the required validated engineering experience before becoming eligible for PE licensure, subject to applicable state requirements.

Project Exposure

This role supports a wide variety of project types, providing broad exposure and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded electrical engineer across multiple building and facility environments.
