We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with approximately 2–4 years of experience in HVAC design to join a consulting engineering team in Dallas, TX. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with room for continued technical development and increasing project responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit and a strong understanding of HVAC and building mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for a variety of facility and building types.
- Prepare construction drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform site surveys, field investigations, and existing-condition assessments.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with structural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
- Support project engineers and project managers throughout the design and construction process.
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and engineering practices.
- Develop toward increased project management responsibility and future mentoring opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 2–4 years of professional HVAC design experience.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- EIT certification or demonstrated progress toward professional licensure preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Candidate Profile of Interest
We are also interested in candidates with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and approximately 1–2 years of Test and Balance (TAB) contractor experience. This type of field-based HVAC experience can provide a strong foundation for transitioning into consulting engineering and system design.
