Position Overview
A Mechanical Engineer with approximately two to four years of HVAC design experience is needed to support a consulting engineering team. This full-time, on-site role offers continued technical development and increasing project responsibility across a variety of building and facility types.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for a variety of buildings and facilities.
- Prepare construction drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform site surveys, field investigations, and assessments of existing conditions.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with structural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
- Support project engineers and project managers throughout design and construction.
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and engineering practices.
- Develop toward increased project management responsibility and future mentoring opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Approximately two to four years of professional HVAC design experience.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or demonstrated progress toward professional licensure.
Additional Background Considered
Candidates with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and approximately one to two years of testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) contractor experience are also encouraged to apply. This field experience can provide a foundation for a transition into consulting engineering and system design.
Work Arrangement
Full-time and on-site.
