Position Overview
A Revit Manager is needed to oversee BIM standards, templates, content libraries, workflows, and model quality for a multidisciplinary engineering team. The role supports mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams in using Revit efficiently and consistently throughout project design and documentation.
The ideal candidate brings three to five years of hands-on Revit/BIM experience, strong technical skills, and an interest in training users, resolving model issues, and improving BIM processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Revit/BIM standards, workflows, templates, and modeling and documentation practices across projects.
- Develop and maintain Revit families, libraries, project templates, schedules, and other BIM content.
- Support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams with project setup, model organization, worksharing, linking, and coordination.
- Review models for quality, consistency, coordination, and documentation accuracy; maintain model integrity and adherence to BIM standards.
- Troubleshoot Revit performance, modeling, family, template, and workflow issues.
- Coordinate models with architectural, structural, and other consultants; support clash detection as required.
- Train and mentor Revit users and develop internal procedures, documentation, and training materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve modeling efficiency, standardization, and automation.
- Support Revit software upgrades and the introduction of new BIM tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and leadership to improve BIM capabilities and project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of professional Revit/BIM experience.
- Strong proficiency with Revit.
- Experience developing and maintaining Revit templates, families, libraries, and standards.
- Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, worksharing, linked models, and project setup.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify model inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and support requests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in MEP engineering consulting, architecture, or another AEC environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their representation in Revit.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and creating complex Revit families.
- Experience with Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM Collaborate Pro, Navisworks, or similar BIM coordination platforms.
- Familiarity with Dynamo or other Revit automation tools.
- Experience training or supporting Revit users.
- Familiarity with BIM execution plans, model standards, and quality-control procedures.
