Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor

Position Overview

An experienced Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor is needed to oversee technicians and mechanical-service work throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

This position will serve as a senior field leader responsible for coordinating technicians, maintaining workmanship and safety standards, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, supporting customers, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support commercial HVAC and mechanical-service technicians in the field.
• Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, scheduling, and job priorities.
• Provide technical assistance on complex service and diagnostic issues.
• Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and adherence to company standards.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting chillers, boilers, rooftop units, VRF systems, pumps, controls, VFDs, and related equipment.
• Communicate with customers, facility managers, project managers, and office personnel regarding job status.
• Ensure technicians have the materials, equipment, and information needed to complete assignments.
• Review service documentation and field reports.
• Train and mentor junior and mid-level technicians.
• Assist with estimating labor, materials, and scope for repair or replacement projects.
• Monitor project progress and resolve jobsite issues.
• Help enforce company safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Support emergency-service operations when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical HVAC problems.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, controls, airflow, and hydronic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with commercial customers.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical field experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, Service Supervisor, Field Supervisor, or similar role strongly preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Additional HVAC licensing or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with several of the following: Chillers, Boilers, Cooling towers, Rooftop units, Split systems, VRF/VRV systems, Pumps, VFDs, Building automation and controls, Hydronic systems, and Mechanical piping.

Work Arrangement

Full-time field role supporting commercial HVAC and mechanical-service work throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, area. Emergency-service support may be needed.
