Position Overview

Begin your career in mechanical building-system design with a full-time, entry-level opportunity in The Colony, Texas. Support HVAC and plumbing design for commercial building projects while working alongside experienced engineers and project leaders.

Recent graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Prior full-time engineering experience is not required; academic projects, internships, and co-op experience are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with HVAC and plumbing layouts, equipment selections, and supporting engineering calculations.
Support heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation calculations, and system sizing under engineering guidance.
Prepare and revise Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, schedules, and construction documents.
Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
Review plans and specifications, incorporate design-review comments, and maintain organized project documentation.
Participate in site observations as needed and develop familiarity with building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Interest in HVAC, plumbing, and MEP consulting engineering.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative approach to project work.

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework, academic projects, internships, or co-op experience related to building systems.
Familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD; professional software experience is not required.
EIT certification or plans to pursue the FE exam are a plus, but are not required.
